Typical Application Area:

1. Building Roofs / Terraces – Flat & Slope.

2. Over existing cementitious waterproofing treatments like sound brick-bat coba, concrete screeds, acrylic coatings, etc.

Method of Application: It involves 2-steps:-

Step 1: Surface Preparation-

Prepare the surface thoroughly by cleaning, washing and removing dust, dirt, oil, grease and loose particles.

Ensure that the roof slope is a minimum of 1 in 100 to enable water run off.

In existing old terraces such as brick-bat-coba or screeds, the substrate must be checked for its soundness. Damaged or hollow portions, sharp edges, etc. must be cut and repaired with a polymer-modified mortar using Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP.

Bitumen based waterproofing treatments must be completely removed by mechanical scarification or by any other effective mechanical means.

Step 2: Application-

Apply one coat of Dr. Fixit Primeseal (diluted with water in the ratio 2:1) at the rate of 100-110 sq.ft/ liter. Allow it to dry for 2-3 hours.

Apply the first coat of Dr. Fixit Newcoat Ezee at the rate of 24.22 sq.ft. per litre and allow it to dry before taking up the second coat, the rate of application being the same. This would ensure correct consumption of material that will deliver a total DFT(dry film thickness) of 500 – 600 micron.

Minimum drying time between coats will be 4 to 6 hours.

Allow the system to air cure for 7 days minimum.

Precautions & Limitations:

All corners, gaps, joints, protrusions & outlets shall be coated with extra coat.

Do not apply during rains.

Substrate MUST be in SSD(saturated surface dry) condition for application of primer.

The product is designed only for foot traffic and not vehicular or movement of machinery or equipments.

To achieve the full proof waterproofing, all parapet walls should be covered with Newcoat Ezee.

All wall to floor joints must be provided with proper angle fillets prepared with polymer modified mortar using Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP.

If the surface has excess moisture then there is possibility of blister formation in case of all liquid applied membrane coatings.

Theoretical Coverage:

24.22 sq.ft. per litre per coat. Two coats are recommended.

Shelf Life:

Shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacturing if stored in original and unopened packaging in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.
