Smartcare damp sheath interior primer is a specially formulated acrylic copolymer based, anti damp, economy undercoat for interior surfaces. It prevents surface dampness from manifesting itself on top coat and enhances the life of top coat.

APPLICATION PROCESS: –
A) FRESH SURFACE:Â
- Clean the surface to ensure it is free of any dirt and lose particles. Sand the surface with sand paper 180 or use wire brush for vigorous cleaning of substrate if required and wipe it clean.
- Apply 1:1 Dilution Trucare Interior Wall Primer (Water Thinnable) @ 20.91 sq.m/L (1 sq.m.=10.76 sq.ft.) [Depends upon porosity of the substrate]. Let it dry for 3-4 hrs.
- Â For a smooth finish of topcoat, apply Trucare wall putty @ 0.92- 1.39 sq.m./kg in two coats. Allow it to dry for 4-6Â hrs. Sand with sand paper 180. Wipe and clean the surface with dry muslin cloth.
- Â Stir the contents and apply undiluted one coat of SmartCare Damp Sheath Interior with Asian Paints TruCare interior Brush/Roller with coverage of 9.29 sq.m./L.
- Â Allow to dry for 3-4 Hrs.
- Ensure that 1L undiluted of SmartCare Damp Sheath Interior is applied in an area of 9.29 sq.m./L in 1 coat.
- Coverage may vary on surface porosity and differential drying of the existing putty surface.
- Post drying of Damp Sheath Interior, apply topcoats as per recommendation.
B) PAINTED AND EXISTING INTERIOR PUTTY SURFACES:
- Clean the painted & existing interior putty surface to ensure it is free of any dirt and lose particles. Sand the surface with sand paper 180 and wipe it clean.
- Stir the contents and apply undiluted one coat of SmartCare Damp Sheath Interior with Asian Paints TruCare interior Brush/Roller with coverage of 9.29 sq.m./L.
- Allow to dry for 3-4 Hrs.
- Ensure that 1L undiluted of SmartCare Damp Sheath Interior is applied in an area of 9.29 sq.m./L in 1 coat.
- Coverage may vary on surface porosity and differential drying of the existing putty surface.
- Post drying of DSI, apply topcoats as per recommendation.
