Apex Ultima is a high-performance water-based exterior wall paint. It is an acrylic smooth emulsion paint that offers excellent resistance to ultraviolet (UV) radiation and helps retain the initial beauty of your walls. The paint contains silicone additives that help kill the growth of algae and fungus, ensuring your walls remain clean and beautiful. The Dirt Pick Up Resistance (DPUR) property of Apex Ultima fights dust from settling on the walls, helping them retain their beauty.

1. What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers film integrity, protection against flaking or peeling, shade fading and fungus attack. In the case of any issues within the warranty period, your concern will be our top priority. Our officers will investigate the problem and provide a suitable solution.
2. How much area does the product cover?
Apex Ultima covers 1 coat 9 – 12 sq.m/ltr** 2 coat 5 – 5.5 sq.m/ltr**
3. How long will this product last?
The life span of Apex Ultima is 7 years.
4. What is the painting procedure for Apex Ultima?
Before painting you need to first, clean the surface properly to remove dirt, chalk, dust and particles of previous paint. This can be done by scraping your walls with a wire brush and cleaning with water. We recommend that you allow freshly plastered surfaces to cure properly with water for at least 4 weeks before painting. After this, follow the procedure below:
1) Sand the surface using Emery Paper no. 180 followed by Emery Paper no. 320 or 400 and wipe it clean. To smoothen the surface, you can apply Asian Paints Wall Putty (Optional). If you are applying the Putty, mix water as per requirement and make it into a paste. Allow the wall to dry for 4 hours.
2) Once the putty is dry, apply Exterior Wall Primer to prepare your walls for painting. Apply the Primer with a brush or spray. If you are using a brush, mix 900 – 1100 ml. of water. If you are using a spray, mix 400 – 450 ml. of water. Allow the Exterior Primer to dry for 4 hours. (Application of the Primer is mandatory).
3) Now, apply Apex Ultima by mixing 400 – 450 ml. of water with 1 litre of the paint. (Dilution will be the same if applied with a brush, roller or spray). Apply 2 – 3 coats of Apex Ultima and allow it to dry for 4-6 hours.
5. Why is exterior primer mandatory?
Exterior Primer makes sure that there is a better hold of the paint film to the wall. It provides an additional layer of protection to the surface. It also ensures that the paint stays on the wall for a longer period.
6. Where can I find Apex Ultima?
You can purchase Apex Ultima at your nearest authorised dealer.
7. Can Apex Ultima be applied during monsoon?
Every product has its own drying time but it’s quite risky to paint during the rainy season in general. Painting during the monsoon is not recommended as it does not give enough time for the paint to dry well. We recommend observing the weather conditions and then moving forward with the painting.
8. What are the VOC levels in Apex Ultima?
The VOC level in Apex Ultima (White) is less than 100 grams per litre.
9. What do you mean by the term DPUR?
DPUR is a unique feature in Apex Ultima which does not let Dust settle on your exterior walls and keeps it Dust Free. Apex Ultima is the only Exterior Emulsion to offer optimal performance in vibrant shades.
10. How much time will the product take to dry, post painting?
Apex Ultima will take 30 minutes for the surface to dry.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE: –
1. PRE-PAINTING STEPS FOR SURFACE – Plaster, Cleaning, Filling of Cracks and Filling for Holes & Dents.
2. APPLICATION PROCESS – THE APPLICATION PROCESS INVOLVES 3-STEPS: –
Step 1 (OPTIONAL) – This step involves application of Asian Paints Wall Putty in paste form by diluting with water as
per the requirement. Recoating period is 4 hours.
Step 2 – Priming the surface with Exterior Wall Primer by diluting with water up to 90% to 110% in case of application with Brush/Roller. For Spray application, the dilution with water can be upto 40% – 45%. Re-coating period is 4 hours.
Step 3 – This step involves application of 2-coats of Apex Ultima at an interval of 4-6 hours between coats. It can be diluted with water up to a maximum of 40% for application using Brush/Roller/Spray.
DRYING TIME – Surface Drying Time is 30 min.
COVERAGE – 55-65 sq. ft/litre for 2-coat.
TOOLS – Brush / Roller / Spray Gun.
Note: –
HORIZONTAL SURFACES LIKE TOP OF WINDOWS, LEDGES SHOULD BE PAINTED WITH 3 COATS OF ACE EXTERIOR EMULSION FOR GREATER PROTECTION.
