Apcolite Clear Synthetic Varnish is a transparent, hard, protective finish or film primarily used in wood finishing but also for other materials. Asian Paints Apcolite Clear Synthetic Varnish is a high quality synthetic resin based varnish. It forms a hard and glossy film which has good durability and gloss retention.
Product Benefits:
Apcolite Clear Synthetic Varnish is recommended as a finishing varnish for interior wood applications. This product can also be mixed with synthetic enamels for gloss enhancement.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE: –
1. PRE-PAINTING STEPS FOR SURFACE PREPARATION – Sand the surface thoroughly with emery paper 180 and wipe clean.
2. APPLICATION PROCESS – THE APPLICATION PROCESS INVOLVES 6-STEPS: –
Step 1 – Sanding – Sand the surface lightly with emery paper 320 or 400 before application of Topcoats.
Step 2 –Â This step involves application of 1st-coat of Apcolite Clear Synthetic Varnish. It can be diluted with MTO up to 0% – 5% for application using Brush. For Spray application, it can be diluted with MTO up to 5% – 10%. Recoating period is 24 hours.
Step 3 – Sanding – Sand the surface lightly with sand paper 180 and wipe clean.
Step 4 (Optional) – Â Smoothen the surface by filling dents with thin coats of Asian Paints Knifing Paste Filler. Allow it to dry for 4 – 6 hours. Sand lightly with emery paper 180 and wipe clean.
Step 6 – Sanding – Sand the surface with sand paper 320 and wipe clean.
